Kevin and Michelle met at Lancaster Bible College in Lancaster, PA. A few years later, they married and were blessed with four boys. Kevin grew up working on a farm and put himself through college doing residential trim carpentry. It was this early experience that gave him a love for detail work and working with his hands. Subsequently Kevin spent 6 years running a California Closets franchise, doing in home custom designs and installation. He then went on to spend 11 years in Hotel Management, where his passions for outstanding customer service and business were refined. Michelle has always had a genuine love for people, and is passionate about making everyone she meets feel special. She considers herself very blessed to have been able to serve others through her career in the medical field as a radiologic technologist while balancing life at home as a wife and mom. Together they enjoy opening up their home and using their gifts of hospitality to bless others.
After years of working separately and in very time demanding jobs, they looked for ways to pursue their dream of business ownership while working together as a family. When they found Made in the Shade it seemed like the perfect opportunity, bringing together so many of their prior experiences, gifts, and abilities. This was an answer to years of prayer.
